Highland’s girls track and field team sent two athletes to compete against a strong field at the Hoosier State Relays Finals, with Aniya Sole and Kennedy Stephens both delivering solid performances on the indoor stage.
The meet took place March 28, 2026, at the Fall Creek Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis on a 200-meter banked track.
Aniya Sole competed in the 60-meter hurdles, placing ninth against a competitive field of top athletes from across the state. Her performance highlighted her ability to compete in one of the meet’s most technical events and provided a strong early-season result.
Kennedy Stephens competed in both the 60-meter dash and the long jump, placing ninth in the 60-meter dash while also earning a fourth-place finish in the long jump. Her long jump mark came out of a field of 22 competitors, showcasing her versatility and ability to perform across multiple events.
With strong individual finishes against elite competition, Sole and Stephens set the tone for Highland as the program looks to carry that momentum into the next phase of the season.
