Highland delivered a strong all‑around showing in its April 23 track and field meet against Andrean and Lowell, with standout performances across sprints, distance, hurdles, and field events.
On the boys’ side, Myles Miller captured the varsity 100 meters in 11.64 seconds and followed with a runner‑up finish in the 200 at 23.86. Teammates Tommy Breitweiser and Mark Cannon added personal bests in the 100, while Cannon also placed second in the 200. Highland’s depth was evident in the junior varsity sprints, where Jayden Wilkins, Zachary Clark, and Mark Dail swept the top three spots in the 100, and Osmar Kpoffon won the 200 in 25.67.
For the girls, Kennedy Stephens dominated the sprints, winning the varsity 100 in 12.39 and the 200 in a personal‑best 25.51. Megan White added a second‑place finish in both events, while Kaila Smith and Elizabeth Tugerson kept Highland in the top four. In hurdles, Aniya Sole won the 100 in 15.92, and Mia Morales claimed the 300 in 57.84. The Trojans also excelled in relays, highlighted by a 49.69 victory in the 4×100.
Field events added balance, with Isaac Lynumn clearing 5’10” to win the boys’ high jump and Brooklyn Pinierio taking the girls’ shot put at 30’4.5”. Rex Owens and Christopher Howell contributed top‑five discus finishes.
Highland’s mix of sprint speed, relay strength, and field event success underscored a deep roster capable of scoring across disciplines.
