The Highland Trojans emerged victorious against the Illiana Christian Vikings with a 55-27 win in a home non-conference game on Saturday, December 6. Despite efforts from the Vikings to close the gap, the Trojans maintained steady scoring to secure their victory.

The game was held at Highland High School, where Highland showcased a dominant performance. The Trojans established an early lead with a 10-point opening quarter and continued to build momentum by limiting the Vikings to just two points in the second quarter. According to reports, Highland significantly widened their lead in the third quarter by scoring 23 points while strengthening their defense. Although Illiana Christian attempted to find an offensive rhythm later in the game, Highland’s balanced scoring and energy on both ends of the court carried them through the fourth quarter, ensuring a decisive win.

Looking ahead, the Highland Trojans are set to face the Oilers in another home non-conference matchup. The Trojans currently hold a 5-3 record, while the Oilers have a 1-6 standing. In their last encounter, Highland defeated the Oilers with a score of 46-42.
