Jordan Steele scores 12 as Highland falls 44-27

Highland Girls Basketball dropped a 44-27 postseason contest to Culver Academies.

The game was played Feb. 14 in a neutral-site playoff matchup.

Highland trailed 19-14 at halftime after two competitive opening quarters. The Trojans were tied 7-7 after the first period before Culver Academies used a 10-7 second quarter to build a narrow advantage. Culver extended its lead in the third quarter, holding Highland to four points, and maintained control through the final period.

Jordan Steele led Highland with 12 points, finishing 4-of-13 from the field and converting four free throws. Gioia Feaster added four points and six rebounds, while Payton Bailey and S. Ballard each scored three points. Avery Steele contributed two points and five rebounds, and A. Figueroa added three points. Highland finished 10-of-44 from the field and 3-of-17 from three-point range.

The Trojans totaled 20 rebounds and seven steals while continuing to compete defensively throughout the second half.

The loss marked the conclusion of Highland’s 2025-26 season. The Trojans completed the year with consistent effort and growth, and their commitment throughout the season reflected the progress of the program and the foundation built for the years ahead.
