Highland earned a 37-25 victory over Griffith in a neutral-site postseason matchup to advance in tournament play.

The game was played Feb. 7 as part of the IHSAA girls basketball postseason, with Highland facing Griffith in a playoff setting.

Highland controlled the game defensively from the opening quarter, holding Griffith to just one point in the first period and setting the tone with consistent pressure and rebounding. The Trojans built a narrow lead by halftime and created separation in the fourth quarter, outscoring Griffith 14-6 to secure the 12-point win. Highland limited clean looks and forced contested possessions throughout the night, keeping the Panthers from finding an offensive rhythm.

Senior Jordan Steele anchored the effort with 17 points while also contributing across the floor defensively. Avery Steele provided a strong presence inside, finishing with 11 points and 10 rebounds to control the paint. Junior S. Ballard added four points and worked the glass, while freshman Gioia Feaster contributed three points and active defense. Sophomore A. Figueroa added key minutes and defensive pressure, and the rest of the lineup supported the effort with rebounds, steals, and ball movement.

Highland finished with 34 rebounds and 18 steals, using defensive intensity and balanced contributions to close out a solid playoff performance.
